Vicki McCarthy Therapy
I have a calm, non-judgemental attitude and I am ready to listen and help with whatever may be troubling you. I will provide a setting in which you can feel supported and free to talk about your difficulties and whatever is on your mind.
The psychodynamic approach focuses on immediate problems, while also helping you make connections to past events, enabling you to unravel unhelpful patterns of behaviour.
There are all sorts of reasons why you (or someone you are concerned about) may decide to have therapy. Sometimes the problem is apparent, but at other times, there can be confusion about what it exactly is. I will go at your pace, helping you to feel heard and understood.
My background is in both the private sector and education; I also teach the theory of psychodynamic counselling on a Diploma Course at Enfield Counselling and Psychotherapy Service. I have always had a keen interest in emotional well-being, and my experience is with a range of issues. I enjoy helping my clients achieve symptom relief and personal growth.

I am a registered Member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and also the British Psychoanalytic Council (BPC).
Both organisations are registered with the Professional Standards Authority so you can be assured that I work to the highest industry standards.
The best way to contact me is to send an email or text - I monitor my inbox regularly and will respond to you quickly.
If you prefer to phone, please leave a voicemail if I do not pick up your call. I can then call (or message) back discreetly at a suitable time and we can have an initial discussion about your situation.
If you would like to arrange a therapy session, my fees are £65 I also have a limited number of low cost places; please contact me for details and availability.
